One reason I went private for a while was that I was at a bad point in my life and couldn't handle all the extremely insulting anonymous comments I was getting here. Now my life is much better than it has been in over five years. I currently allow anonymous comments at my new blog, but if I start getting insulting and derogatory comments again (for example, telling me to kill myself or suggesting that I have HIV) I will disable anonymous comments and you'll have to use your google account.

I would prefer if you use a google account to leave comments anyway, or at least use your real name. I pour my life out in my blog; I think you can handle using your name for a short comment. People who leave anonymous comments -- especially if they are insulting -- are cowards. I put myself out here for anyone to read, with my real name and picture included, and I hope I'll get the same respect in return.

So use your freedom wisely or it will be taken away.

Anyway, not to get all negative on you -- I just wanted to clarify that, so hopefully I can keep the option of anonymous comments without it being abused.

If you read my new blog, you will find there is little to insult me about anyway, unless you want to dig stuff out of my past. My current life is scandal-free, drug-free, and crime-free (other than stories from the past) and I am much happier than I was when I stopped writing here.

If there are any of my old Diaryland friends who are still writing who I've lost touch with, send me an email with your blog... I know there are a lot of blogs I used to read that I have forgotten about, but I'd like to stay in touch.
